factory
|
| food factory:
Food factory's inspiration came out of found sound.
I purchased an old reel to reel that ended up having
a recording of an accountant's bookkeeping. I sliced
up his voice into individual sound files and created
spoken word montage based on themes. 2000

na 4 expanded: Expanding
elements is something that I cannot resist. I love
to take a composition and stretch it out and loop
it around and cut it up and make new things. 2003
|
paper pump: Some objects have
such inheren02 t beauty in their sounds. I was attracted
to this beautiful old metal air pump and a large
websters dictionary and their potentials for compositions.
Sometimes the simplest things can be instigators.

| moth: The inspiration for moth
came about when I found a relatively large moth trapped
in a metal can. The sounds it was making with its
wings on the tin were reminiscent of a tabla. I recorded
the sound and explored it by composing and manipulating.

|
the first na: "The first
